Neuroscience Day is an annual event sponsored by the Brain Research Foundation that introduces new, exciting research through poster presentations and lectures.
The event begins with poster presentations by graduate and postdoctoral fellows, designed to unveil new research on a number of neurological diseases and disorders. Former BRF-funded neuroscientists judge the posters and determined four winners whose work was deemed to be the most innovative and comprehensive.
Lectures by some of the nation’s most prominent neuroscientists follow the poster presentations.
The event concludes with four prizes given to the top four poster presenters. By recognizing and supporting the research conducted by graduate students and post-doctoral fellows, BRF strives to ensure that the brightest scientific minds pursue careers in neuroscience research. Neuroscience Day is held every year to promote the interaction of neuroscientists and to learn about new, exciting research through posters and lectures. This unique forum is intended to provide all members of the Chicagoland neuroscience community the opportunity to share interests in an informal setting and to stimulate scientific interactions between laboratories.
