Brain Research Foundation’s biggest fundraising event of the year is the Annual Discovery Dinner. During the event, the Brain Research Foundation awards the Frederic Gibbs Discovery Award for Philanthropic Leadership. Dr. Frederic Gibbs helped found the Brain Research Foundation in 1953. This award honors companies and individuals that understand the need for neuroscience research and education and illustrate the unique role that civic and philanthropic leadership can have in positively impacting important scientific research and initiatives that move our understanding of the brain forward.
The Annual Discovery Dinner continues with a timely and informative panel discussion. One of the reasons this annual benefit is so unique is that attendees always learn something new and interesting on a topic regarding the brain. All proceeds from the informative, sincere and heartfelt event go towards funding the nation’s most innovative neuroscience research and support top researchers as they strive to advance the understanding of the human brain and the neurological disorders and diseases that affect so many children and adults.
