Terre A. Sharma, Ph.D.
Executive Director
Ms. Sharma is the Executive Director of the Brain Research Foundation. In her role as Chief Operating Officer, she provides professional leadership to the institution. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director supports the Board in all ways and develops a productive relationship with every member of the Board. Her primary duties are fundraising, internal and external relations, and managing the relationships and activities that fulfill the mission of the organization.
Because of Ms. Sharma’s background as a trained scientist, she understands the importance of research and the difficulty in obtaining funding for innovative ideas. One of the major reasons she left research was the uncertainty in the opportunities for investigators to find support for their labs. Ms. Sharma realized that she could play a role in funding groundbreaking research by becoming involved with an organization whose mission is to advance neuroscience research. She strongly believes that supporting scientific research can be just as important as performing the actual research itself.
Jennifer Amundsen
Administrative Assistant
Ms. Amundsen is the Administrative Assistant for the Brain Research Foundation. She handles all general office and administrative duties, including directing calls, sending thank you letters to donors, and maintaining the BRF mailing list.
Ms. Amundsen decided to join the Brain Research Foundation because of its commitment to supporting scientific discovery. In her own words: “I liked what the Brain Research Foundation stood for and wanted to be part of it.”
